These terms apply when you create an account, subscribe to or play Outer Meridian.
Your account
- One person per account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Your username must not impersonate someone else or be abusive.
Subscriptions
- Downloading the game is free. Playing needs an active subscription.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the time you have paid for.
- If a payment fails, access continues for a short grace period while it is retried.
- Prices can change. A change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
Playing
- The universe is shared by everyone in it, and what players build is not protected from other players. Losing a ship or a base to another player is part of the game.
- Do not cheat, exploit bugs deliberately, automate play, or interfere with the servers or other players' connections.
- Harassment, hate speech and threats are not allowed in chat, names or anything you build.
Enforcement
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. Suspension stops play but does not delete your data.
The game is in development
Outer Meridian is in active development. Features change, servers may be down for maintenance, and the world may occasionally be reset during testing; we will announce resets on the news page in advance.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes on this page and announce significant ones on the news page before they take effect.
